As a Relationship Manager in the Mountain Plains Territory, you will play a critical role in promoting Rabo Agri Finance to farms and producers in one of the most productive agricultural areas in the world. Your primary responsibility will be to acquire new clients while strengthening relationships with existing clients to achieve the region’s return objectives.

You and Your Job:
As a Relationship Manager, you will be successful by building strong, trust‑based relationships with agricultural clients and delivering tailored financial solutions that drive their long‑term growth and profitability.
- Manage a portfolio of customers, monitoring their goals and needs to expand each relationship in a profitable manner. Set and grow annual portfolio and bottom‑line profit goals.
- Target the top 25% of agricultural producers to provide banking solutions for their farm financial needs. Use the bank’s products and services to create solutions for potential customers, focusing on profitability and acceptable risk profile.
- Actively grow the portfolio through direct contact with existing customers, seeking new referrals and building relationships with industry partners such as appraisers, attorneys, CPAs, ag retailers, product buyers, bankers, title companies, realtors, and educators. Promote the bank by attending farm shows, farm visits, ag‑related seminars, local events, and other relevant activities.
- Develop a target list of potential customers in the assigned area, sector, or market segment and contact them regularly. Maintain CRM documentation on prospects, inquiries, direct mail contacts, referrals, and clients to support marketing efforts.
- Drive customer retention by offering products and services that add value to clients’ operations. Increase the average number of products utilized per customer in the portfolio.
- Familiarize with the Markets R&R Quality Framework, client selection, documentation of client calls and activity, and involve the Market team in the marketing process as appropriate. Ensure suitable products are sold to suitable clients and maintain recertification of client eligibility and suitability.
- 5+ years of experience in banking or agricultural finance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret risk in appraisals, financial statements, crop insurance reports, FSA reports, and other customer data.
- Experience communicating, marketing, and selling banking products. Demonstrated by completion of the bank’s or external marketing courses or equivalent testing.
- Successful completion of an advanced credit/risk structuring course and an advanced relationship sales and marketing course as identified by the bank or through equivalent testing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage cross‑organizational relationships.
- Willingness to travel regionally more than 50% of the time.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. Rabobank will not sponsor or provide visas for this position.

Target Hiring Range: $70,000.00 - $. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted for geographical differentiation or other lawful reasons.
