Amerita, Inc. (a subsidiary of Phar Merica) is a leading home infusion therapy provider. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician in our Pharmacy team to prepare, label, and dispense clinical compounds in a cleanroom environment. Report to the Pharmacy Manager.
OverviewResponsibilities include aseptic compounding of sterile mixtures (parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemotherapy, etc.), maintaining USP 797/800 standards, documenting logs, and participating in quality improvement activities.
ScheduleMonday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

- Coordinate and schedule sterile mixture preparation and home medical equipment orders with pharmacist assistance.
- Complete calculations for product preparation as required.
- Compound sterile and non‑sterile mixtures, including parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemotherapy, hydration, and narcotic analgesics, using aseptic technique per state regulations.
- Maintain compounding/clean‑room areas and equipment per USP 797/800 and company policies.
- Document all activities on appropriate logs.
- Participate in branch management, departmental and inter‑departmental meetings, and quality improvement activities.
- Adhere to all accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local, and federal regulations relevant to infusion pharmacy.
- Maintain temperature, pressure, humidity logs and sterility testing records.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Supervisory Responsibility:
None.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician program graduate; IV certification preferred.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of practice.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification required by state board.
- 1–3 years of pharmacy experience in a home care, retail, or pharmacy setting (preferred).
- At least one year of aseptic preparation in an infusion setting.
- General knowledge of drug terminology, calculations, aseptic techniques.
- Flexible schedule; availability for on‑call evenings and weekends.
- Strong math and communication skills.
- Basic prescription interpretation knowledge.
- Capacity to work independently, accurately, efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license; minimal driving for patient deliveries may be required.
Constant sitting and typing on a keyboard; occasionally standing and walking. Ability to push/pull and lift/carry 21–30 lbs.
