BSA Hospital is a 445‑bed facility serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years, committed to quality care in Christian love, service and dignity.

• The CST works under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel to facilitate safe and effective invasive procedures.
• The CST ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure and vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.
• The CST maintains a safe operating room environment, proper equipment function, and procedures conducted under patient safety conditions.

• Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or NCCT (pre‑2009).
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• Completion of a CAAHEP‑accredited or nationally accredited surgical technologist educational program.
• Preferred:
  Associate degree in CVT from an accredited institution.
