- Physicians Surgical Hospitals includes two surgical centers – Panhandle Surgical Hospital and Quail Creek Surgical Hospital – and one physical therapy center – Quail Creek Physical Therapy – and a state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic imaging center, Advanced Imaging Center of Amarillo.
- The Lead Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily scheduling functions within the Surgery Department.
- This role ensures accurate and efficient scheduling of surgical cases, optimizes operating room utilization, supports surgeons and clinical teams, and provides leadership, training, and workflow oversight to the scheduling staff.
- The Lead Scheduler serves as the primary liaison between surgeons’ offices, preoperative leadership, anesthesia, and hospital departments to ensure a smooth and safe surgical scheduling process.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical or perioperative experience.
- Strong working knowledge of surgical terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in OR scheduling systems and EMR platforms.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
