- BSA Hospital is a 445-bed hospital serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years and continues to be Amarillo’s preferred healthcare provider. At BSA, the focus is to provide quality healthcare in Christian love, service and dignity.
BSA is now accepting Graduate Nurse applications for the following units:
- Emergency Department
- Surgical Services
- Critical Care - SICU, MICU, CCU
- Cath Lab
- Pediatrics
- Labor & Delivery
- Postpartum / Couplet Care
- NICU
- 3C - Women's Med/Surg
- 4AB - Family Medicine Med/Sug
- 4C - Med/Surg
- 5AB - Cardiac Med/Surg
- 5C - IMCU
- 6AB - Renal Med/Surg
- 6C - Rehab
- 7 - Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg
- 8 - Oncology
The Graduate Nurse will be accountable for the health status and for health needs of patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
QualificationsJob Requirements:
- High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN License
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Depending on the unit:
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Advanced Life Support Certification (ACLS).
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – specifically for core staff in Surgical ICU.
Preferred
Job Requirements:
- Previous acute care experience
