** Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required

* Location:

** 450-bed trauma level 3 hospital with a patient census of approximately 360, comprising 7 floors
- ** Collaborative Team:
** Work alongside 8-10 Physical Therapists (PTs) and 6-8 Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) daily, along with Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech Therapy (ST) teams, and case management professionals

* Key Responsibilities:

** - Provide comprehensive physical therapy services for:

- Orthopedic conditions - Neurological rehabilitation - Oncology patients - Post-operative care for back and neck surgeries - Basic medical-surgical and ICU patients (medical, cardiac, and surgical) - Conduct patient assessments and create individualized treatment plans - Utilize adaptive devices and modalities for effective patient care - Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and overall patient progress - Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and recovery strategies - Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
** Preferred

Certifications:

** - TX Physical Therapy License (pending applications accepted) - BLS Certification (preferred)
** Essential

Skills:

** - Strong knowledge of assessment techniques and pain management

- Experience with a variety of patient populations, including geriatrics and post-stroke rehabilitation - Proficient in use of equipment such as gait belts, crutches, and specialty beds - Ability to work under productivity standards and manage daily patient loads of 10-12
