American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 1+ years of experience and ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification to work varied inpatient and outpatient shifts using multiple GE and Hitachi scanners.
Requirements- ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification required
- BLS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required
- Previous travel assignment experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skilled in abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI procedures
- Experience with MRA, MRV, MRCP, and CINE flow studies
- Proficient in cardiac and pulmonary MRI, with and without contrast
- Experience preparing and administering contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
- Familiar with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- License required if applicable
- Rotating schedule of Saturday/Sunday 8am-8pm and Tuesday/Wednesday 3pm-11pm, totaling 40 hours per week
- Works with both inpatient and outpatient populations across adult acute care, ICU, ER/Trauma, and pediatric settings
- Performs scans on patients with implanted devices, including non-conditional pacemakers
- Responsible for transporting patients after hours
- Comfortable scanning pediatric and sedated patients
- Uses GE 1.5 Signa Echo Speed, GE 1.5 Signa Voyager, GE 3T Signa Excite, and Hitachi (Fuji) Oasis Open Air equipment
- Epic charting system experience required
- Considers first-time travelers for this position
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Onboarding requires completion of core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- Allied health modules typically take 2-3 hours to complete and are done onsite during orientation
