What You'll Do
- As a Certified Dietary Manager, you will help lead the daily operations of our Dietary Department to ensure Veterans receive high-quality nutritional care.
Responsibilities include: - Assisting the Registered Dietitian in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the daily operations of the Dietary Department
- Ensuring nutritional services are provided in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary food service environment
- Supervising dietary staff and supporting efficient department operations
- Assisting with menu planning, food management, diet therapy, and cost control initiatives
- Promoting quality resident care through safe and effective nutritional services
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited dietetic training program approved by the American Dietetic Association
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other healthcare setting
- Training and experience in cost control, food management, and diet therapy
- Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian (RD) credential as required by state regulations
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
