7 am to 3 pm or 3 pm to 11 pm.

• Assist in the installation of new equipment.
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor and/or other personnel on special fabrication and construction projects.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedule.
• Train Level 1 and 2 Maintenance personnel.
• Troubleshoot and repair process machinery and hydraulic equipment.
• Change electrical breakers and electrical starters; operate voltage, amp, and ohm meters.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times.
• Use assigned safety equipment, including a bump cap, safety glasses or goggles, welding protection, and a safety harness; be familiar with and observe all Company safety rules and regulations.
• Attend scheduled safety meetings and may be asked to serve on the Safety Committee.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 3‑5+ years of experience with rendering or similar plant equipment.
• Demonstrated advanced welding, piping, and fabrication skills.
• Must pass a skills test on a 480 V combination starter/breaker box and control voltage for the combination box.

• High School Diploma or vocational school training preferred.
• General mechanical aptitude; able to diagnose problems with motors and other equipment.
• Good math skills; add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

• Frequently required to push, pull, move, or lift up to 100 lbs.
• Frequently required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
• May be asked to travel to other plants for construction projects.
• May need to work nights and weekends; available "on call" as needed.

Job functions will be carried out in a rendering facility which requires tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors and high heat or cold temperatures.
