SCOPE:
Prepare and clean gearboxes and component parts for refurbishment and assembly along with assisting in assembly when needed.
** SPECIAL SKILLS/ Requirements:
*** Operate overhead crane and forklift.
* Operate large parts washer/sandblast machine.
* Operate forklift.
* Mechanically inclined with gearbox assembly preferred.
* Use handheld power and manual tools.
* Ability to work accurately and thoroughly in a timely manner, while maintaining safety as a priority.
* High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
* Be computer literate.
** EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/

EXPERIENCE:

** High school diploma or GED.  3-5 years of mechanical assembly experience, gearbox preferred.
** RESPONSIBILITIES:
*** Good written and oral communication skills.
* Maintain a safe and clean workstation per 5s practices.
* Work in a team environment to accomplish goals.
* Work overtime as needed.
* Ability to lift 25 pounds, stand, bend and squat for 8 hours.
* Manage time and complete job in a safe manner.
* Utilize handheld precision measuring tools such as micrometers and depth mics.
* Perform quality work inspections to ensure the product meets quality standards.
* Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
* Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specifications.
* Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety.
