Assembler Mech/Elec
- Virgin Galactic. This position will be responsible for working on the Virgin Galactic Spacecraft as well as the possibility of working on other aircraft such as the Bell V22 Osprey, H1 Viper, H1 Venom, FLARRA, or 525 Relentless. The Assembler Mechanic/Electrician will be responsible for structural or mechanical assembled parts on aircraft, while keeping proficient records of the aircraft completion status daily.

Responsibilities- Drilling close tolerance holes using a variety of hand drills/power feed drills.
- Multiple types of fastener installations in composite and sheet metal.
- Installs, fits, and adjusts parts or assemblies where difficult installations, alignments or adjustments are necessary while conforming to technical directives/specifications.
- Required to work from blueprints or project sketches and templates with or without the use of tooling jigs or fixtures.
- Experienced Techs should be able to perform a majority of the assembly operations on all parts of the aircraft as well as fixture and bench assembly operations.
- May require some composite and fiberglass bond layup or repair.
- Can make necessary layouts to fabricate and fit component parts per engineering requirements.
- Works to crew loads and follows written and verbal work instructions.
- Required to perform scheduled/unscheduled inspections.
- Assembly installations include Engines, Gearboxes, Drive shafts, Rotor Blades, Fuel Systems, Electrical harnesses and Computer Systems, Hydraulic Components, and other Systems.
- Functional testing of Hydraulic and Electrical Systems.
- Performs difficult repairs and alterations per design changes, removing the required parts and making replacements.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Intermediate Computer Skills - MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. (All daily work instructions, documents, and specifications are accessed via computer)
- Aircraft maintenance or assembly experience
- Formal training from a recognized program considered in lieu of experience
- Mechanical ability demonstrated from another industry considered in lieu of aircraft experience
