Texas Panhandle Builders Association (TPBA) was chartered in 1946. Our association represents 26 counties in the panhandle of Texas. TPBA is a professional, non-profit organization of home builders, developers, remodelers, businesses, and high school students associated with the building industry. We are affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Texas Association of Builders (TAB).
Role Description
The Executive Officer / Director of Community Engagement & Revenue is the primary operational leader and public-facing representative of the Texas Panhandle Builders Association (TPBA). This role is responsible for advancing the Board’s strategic vision by driving revenue growth, strengthening advocacy efforts, building strategic partnerships, and increasing TPBA’s visibility and influence across the Texas Panhandle. This position blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
The Executive Officer leads staff, manages key relationships, and is consistently present in the community, representing TPBA with professionalism and credibility. Success in this role requires a strong relationship-builder who is comfortable with public presence, accountable to measurable outcomes, and deeply committed to advancing the building industry and delivering value to TPBA members.
Key Result Areas:
Key Result Area 1:Revenue Generation
What winning looks like: TPBA exceeds non-dues revenue goals and maintains diverse, sustainable income streams.
What it will take:
- Deliver increase by 30% in advertising & sponsorship revenue annually
- Grow non-dues revenue by 15% by fiscal year end
Strategic Partnerships & Advocacy
What winning looks like: TPBA is consistently present in critical conversations and seen as a leader in housing policy and workforce development.
What it will take:
- Represent TPBA at ≥90% of local government meetings impacting housing
- Secure ≥10 new formal community partnerships/MOUs annually
Membership Growth & Retention
What winning looks like: TPBA achieves sustainable member growth and maintains a retention rate of 71% or higher.
What it will take:
- Achieve net growth of +20 builders or +20 associates
- Maintain or exceed 71% overall member retention
Community Engagement & Visibility
What winning looks like: TPBA becomes increasingly visible and valued in the broader community through media, social, and partner presence.
What it will take:
- Establish baseline metrics for visibility (social, press, reach) within 90 days
- Earn ≥3 local media placements annually
Member Support & Mission Delivery
What winning looks like: The Executive Director actively drives forward the TPBA mission and supports membership through public presence.
What it will take:
- Attend internal committee meetings and support their initiatives
- Embed the TPBA mission in all external engagements and communications
