Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with at least two years of experience, an active TX or compact RN license, and recent Epic charting experience for a day shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting on a Medical Surgical unit

• 10-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6

• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 19:30

• Epic EMR experience within the last 6 months required

• Modules are completed onsite during orientation

• Must work at least 2 out of 3 holidays

• Responsible for providing care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population

• No travel pairs or groups permitted

• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved

• No requested time off during the first week of orientation

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required

• Current BLS certification required

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required

• Recent Epic EMR experience required

• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted

• Former permanent staff must be gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
