Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position, requiring a TX or Compact RN license and recent Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital Cath Lab setting

• Works four 10-hour day shifts, with flexible start and end times based on case scheduling between 8am and 7pm

• Call is required on weeknights from 7pm to 7am and weekends from 7am to 7pm

• Cares for cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedure patients

• Uses Epic EMR system

• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals are not accepted

• Responsible for administering care during interventional cardiac procedures

• Mandatory to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if needed

• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved; no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation

• No travel pairs or groups will be accepted

• Modules and orientation required and completed onsite

• First time travelers are considered
Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required at time of consideration

• Minimum of 2 years recent cath lab nursing experience required

• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS required

• Epic EMR experience within the last 6 months required

• Travel nursing experience preferred

• Former permanent staff must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
