• Assists RN with implementation of an age‑appropriate plan of care through tasks routinely delegated by RN and tasks delegated by RN based on patient’s condition and the individual’s skills.
• Provides patient transport, preparation, and positioning assistance.
• Performs sanitation duties in accordance with unit policies and standards of care.
• Assists RN to provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and employees.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification or completed at hire and maintain certification throughout employment.

• Ability to converse, read, and write in English.
• Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, vendors, and others.
• Ability to remain calm under stress and respond to pages.
• Bending, lifting (25 lbs. minimum), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, pulling, squatting, and prolonged walking and standing.
• Exposure to infectious organisms, agents and toxic chemicals.
• Ability to make decisions within the limitations of the job.
