Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for night shifts with Epic experience and a TX or compact RN license.

• Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit with a 10-bed capacity
• Night shifts available with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules (19:00-07:30)
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:6
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment
• Locals within a 50-mile radius are not accepted
• Responsible for delivering direct nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population
• No travel pairs or groups will be considered
• First time travelers may be considered for this position
• A maximum of 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved, with no time off permitted during the first week of orientation

• Active Texas or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year RN Med/Surg experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Recent Epic charting experience within the last 6 months preferred
• Former permanent staff must be separated for 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
