American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of inpatient med/surg experience and a TX or compact RN license.

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit with a med/surg patient population
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with 36 or 48 hour options
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Telemetry monitored in a centralized unit
• Float required to units of equal or lesser acuity
• Charting performed in Epic

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient med/surg experience required
• Recent Epic charting experience within the last 6 months
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, respiratory care, nasal cannula, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management

• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
