American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with at least 1 year of inpatient med/surg experience and a TX or compact RN license for a day-shift hospital assignment.

• Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating required
• Epic charting system used

• Active TX or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient med/surg nursing experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skills in isolation precautions/PPE, respiratory care, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
• Onboarding modules must be completed onsite during orientation
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
