Pharmacy Cashier

Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
• Recommend items for sale, including trade‑ups and companion items.
• Assist with OTC products and guide customers to an aisle when possible.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status and report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
• Maintain counters, shelves, and displays; keep aisles well merchandised.
• Occasionally take inventory, price merchandise, and set up promotional displays.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Implement asset‑protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Assist with interior and exterior maintenance to keep the store clean and orderly.
• Work with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attend training and complete required performance and professional licensing (PPLs) as requested by manager or corporate.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Prefer 6 months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
