Binswanger Glass is a long-standing company with a history of empowering employees to grow. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Residential and Commercial Service Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in glass installation, repair, and maintenance for both residential and commercial properties. The Glazier is responsible for assessing, measuring, cutting, installing, and repairing glass in windows, doors, storefronts, and other applications in both residential and commercial settings.

• Glass Installation:
  Measure, cut, and install glass for windows, mirrors, doors, and other fixtures in residential and commercial properties. Interpret measurements accurately and install glass in frames, sashes, and panels with proper sealing. Install tempered, laminated, and insulated glass as required.
• Glass Repair and Maintenance:
  Assess and repair damaged or broken glass in windows, doors, and storefronts. Perform glass replacement, re-glazing, and sealant application. Provide recommendations to clients regarding glass repairs, replacement, or upgrades.
• Customer Service and Communication:
  Communicate effectively with clients to understand glass needs and provide expert recommendations. Provide accurate and timely estimates. Address customer concerns with professionalism and maintain a positive attitude on job sites.
• Safety and Compliance:
  Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while handling glass and operating tools. Ensure installations and repairs comply with local building codes and safety standards. Use PPE as needed and dispose of broken glass properly.
• Project Management:
  Manage multiple service requests, coordinate with team members and subcontractors as necessary, and maintain accurate records of work performed.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a glazier in both residential and commercial settings.
• Proven experience in glass installation, repair, and replacement. Experience with tempered, insulated, laminated, and custom glass.
• Strong knowledge of glass cutting, handling, and installation techniques. Familiarity with using glass-related tools and equipment. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to assess damage and determine repair or replacement solutions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Education/Certification:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent (required). Certification from a recognized trade school or apprenticeship (preferred). Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required). Knowledge of OSHA safety standards (preferred).

• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 75 lbs).
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods. Comfortable working at heights and on ladders or scaffolding.

• Work will be performed on residential and commercial job sites. Outdoor and indoor work in various weather conditions. Must be able to work in construction zones and follow safety protocols.
