Paladin Technologies is seeking a Security Systems Technician to install, terminate, configure, and test security systems in commercial settings. The ideal candidate brings solid cabling fundamentals, hands‑on hardware experience (locks/readers/cameras), and the drive to grow with a leading telecommunications and security integrator.

• Alarm / Intrusion systems
• CCTV / IP Video
• Access Control

• Video analytics, visitor management, and IP network systems experience
• Prior exposure to intrusion detection
  , REX/EREX
  , and electronic door hardware
• Experience leading a crew and coordinating with owner teams

• Install, terminate, configure, and test enterprise security solutions with minimal supervision
• Mag locks
• Electronic door strikes
• Card readers & keypads
• Electric crash bars
• EREX (Emergency Request-to-Exit buttons)
• REX (Request-to-Exit PIR) motion sensors
• IP cameras
• NVRs/DVRs
• Perform proper cable installation practices (labeling, dressing, bend-radius, PoE/IP considerations)
• Troubleshoot & problem‑solve device, wiring, and network issues
• Read and interpret blueprints
  /low‑voltage drawings; coordinate device locations and pathways
• Lead project installations as required; maintain quality control and provide exceptional customer service
• Track project progress
  , escape risks, and close punch‑list items

• Process‑oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to support customer systems via remote diagnostics professionally
• Networking knowledge and practical internet/IP experience (IP addressing, PoE basics, switch/NVR connectivity)
• Able to work independently and resolve problems to the customer’s satisfaction
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR required
• Current certification in any of the following is a plus:
• Honeywell Pro‑Watch, Genetec, Openpath, Exacq, 3xLogic, Brivo
• Training: Paladin Technologies will invest in training for the right candidate

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Amarillo, TX.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $35.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
