Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is hiring a Shuttle Driver to safely transport cylinder gases and hard goods between branches and plants using company semi tractor-trailers. This full‑time position offers a consistent schedule, competitive pay, and opportunities for professional growth.
What you will do- Drive a 3‑ton capacity truck to deliver compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders, and hard goods to branch locations.
- Pick up empty cylinders and return them to the plant for refilling.
- Operate forklift, pallet jack or other warehouse equipment for loading and unloading.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and document deficiencies.
- Maintain accurate driver and vehicle logs, ensuring compliance with DOT and state/federal regulations.
- Communicate with internal customers regarding order and delivery times.
- Valid TX Class A commercial driver’s license with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements.
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
- At least one (1) year of recent Class A professional driving experience within the last five (5) years, with a clean driving record (no more than two convictions or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years, or no more than one conviction and one at‑fault accident). Alternatively, a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one year of recent driving experience may be accepted.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Lift and transport up to 60 lbs regularly; occasionally up to 800 lbs with equipment.
- Drive for extended periods; walk and perform repetitive motions.
- Work in inclement weather; overtime flexibility; drug‑free workplace.
- $25 per hour
