Base pay range$22.00/hr - $29.00/hr
Position SummaryThe Engineering Technician will design, program, manufacture, and verify a variety of programs, setups, and fixtures for NC machines and offline processes. They will also assist Production and Quality as a technical resource for troubleshooting and application assistance.
Responsibilities- Creation and verification of setups, fixtures, and programs for NC machines and offline processes.
- Assist in training production employees on setups, fixtures, and machine operations.
- Provide troubleshooting and application assistance on machining, burning, forming, and welding processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Model and export new parts and revision changes.
- Assist the Manufacturing Engineer with developing, managing, and implementing projects as needed.
- Guide team members to meet project specifications.
- Maintain tool crib; stock and issue consumable inventory.
- Participate in other projects assigned by manufacturing engineers or management.
- Analyze space requirements, prepare layouts for new equipment and projects, and evaluate material flow to improve operating efficiency and reduce errors.
- Maintain the engineering/fixture building area, including cleaning, preventive maintenance, and organization.
- Provide error‑free work to all internal and external customers related to the position’s output.
- Work a flexible schedule, handle special projects, perform clerical tasks, and assist in other departments including Quality Assurance and Production.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 2‑ or 4‑year degree preferred.
- Five years of manufacturing experience required; lean manufacturing experience preferred.
- 1‑3 years of NC machine operations required; VMC or HMC experience preferred.
- Proficient in basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook).
- Strong math and problem‑solving skills using geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to read and use common measuring devices.
- Ability to read and understand prints and drawings.
- Work in a high‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Work as part of a team toward common goals.
- Strong communication skills.
- Speak conversational English.
- Ability to lift 20‑50 lbs. repetitively throughout the shift.
- Ability to bend, sit, stand, twist, and stoop for prolonged periods.
- Ability to walk 2‑5 miles during a shift.
- Good vision of 20/30 with corrective lenses.
- Maintain coordination of hand and finger movements for precise manipulation.
