About The Role
Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is looking for a Part‑time Teller/New Accounts Representative for our American Fork branch. The role involves providing friendly, accurate and timely assistance to customers and potential customers, recommending and explaining banking services and products based on their needs, and helping to resolve inquiries and complaints.
Responsibilities- Receive and process customer financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, cashier's checks, fund transfers and sell gift cards.
- Maintain and balance the cash or teller drawer daily, adhering to assigned transaction limits.
- Become proficient in the bank’s products and services enabling you to provide solution‑based solutions for customer needs.
- Resolve customer concerns within your authority and, when needed, escalates to the appropriate manager.
- Answer phones, process wire transfers, stop payments, check orders, and create debit cards.
- Provide excellent customer service and deepen relationships by following the established customer service standards.
- Open and close branch as schedule deems necessary.
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
- Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frames.
- Participate in the Summit Progression Program to learn and develop assigned skills.
- Adhere to Altabank core values and keep management appropriately informed of area activities.
- Participate in community service and bank‑sponsored activities that support the mission and values of Altabank.
- Serve customers with courtesy, respect, professionalism, confidentiality and a positive attitude, and maintain a tidy work area.
- Maintain attendance in a regular, predictable and timely manner.
- Duties are subject to change.
Mon & Fri 8:45‑5:15;
Tue, Wed, Thu 8:45‑2:00.
The entry rate for this position is $17.00+ per hour. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration geographic location, years of experience and educational background. - High school diploma.
- At least six months of similar or related experience.
- Good attention to detail when working with numbers and names.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to interact calmly and professionally with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
- Reliable and timely attendance.
- Adaptability to change through effective time management, analysis and problem‑solving skills.

Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in an emergency situation.
