Responsibilities- Provide technical support in production, operations, maintenance, safety, and testing areas.
- Use schematics, diagrams, and written or verbal instructions to test and troubleshoot electronic or mechanical components, equipment, or systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (mechanical, electrical, etc.), evaluate and recommend equipment improvements, and conduct equipment failure analysis.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose challenging equipment issues; prepare technical reports documenting repairs and maintenance procedures.
- Serve as liaison for contract maintenance personnel and oversee contract maintenance activities.
- Train operators on autonomous maintenance (AM) and develop PM/AM procedures and training programs.
- Maintain shop and equipment, parts, and supplies inventories.
- Refer complex or unusual problems to supervisor.
- Under general supervision, apply good judgment within established policies, procedures, and techniques; work typically reviewed by a senior coworker or supervisor.
- None.
- Typically located in a comfortable environment with exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
- Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion: walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering heavy or awkward materials or equipment (50+ lbs).
- Requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
- Generally 2‑5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
- Industrial Technology degree
- 3+ years of experience in production maintenance
- Metal fabrication and maintenance experience
- Project engineering experience
- CNC experience
