Job Title:Facility Maintenance Technician

Department:Maintenance

Reports to:Maintenance Supervisor

Location: American Fork, Utah

Job Summary:The Facility Maintenance Technician at Thrive Freeze Dry in American Fork is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of the company's facilities, including industrial and production machinery. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Plant Maintenance Technician collaborates with other departments to maintain operational efficiency, manage spare parts inventory, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES &

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery, production machinery, and building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments as necessary.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve issues.
• Adhere to and enforce safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Monitor and manage spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies.
• Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Demonstrate safe work habits and follow general safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques, ergonomics, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assists in training of plant maintenance technicians.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
• Additional duties as assigned.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Comply with the Environmental Health Safety & Security (EHS&S) policies and applicable regulatory and company EHS&S rules and requirements.
• Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
• Attend scheduled EHS&S training program.
• Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EHS&S goals and plans.
• Recommend improved EHS&S practices.
• Practices safe work habits and follows general safety procedures such as proper lifting and bending, ergonomics, proper use of equipment and use of personal protection equipment (PPE).
• Adheres to and ensures lockout procedures are followed any time the equipment is being cleaned or maintained.
