Job Title:

Project Manager - Windows Department

Reports To:

Operations Manager

Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of window installations for new construction projects, ensuring quality, compliance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role owns the installation process from planning through completion, proactively resolving issues, managing subcontractor performance, and ensuring all work meets building codes, signed installation methods, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Ownership & Quality Control

Take full ownership of the window installation process, correcting issues when they arise.
Ensure all installations are performed to code and in accordance with the signed installation method on file.
Review and verify flashing details and other installation methods to ensure long-term quality and compliance.
Conduct jobsite visits before, during, and after installations to confirm:

Installation quality and accuracy
Safety compliance
On-time completion

Planning & Scheduling

Plan and coordinate window installations with subcontractors.
Establish project priorities and verify proper installation sequences are followed.
Review installation orders and schedules to ensure availability of resources, labor, and materials.

Subcontractor Management

Develop and maintain knowledge of each subcontractor's skills and capabilities to align projects with the right teams.
Evaluate, and occasionally assist with installations or warranty/service calls as needed.
Review subcontractor installation reports and follow up on incomplete or deficient work.
Observe subcontractors on the job to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and company practices.
Manage and track subcontractor performance, including installation quality, timeliness, and compliance.

Customer Experience

Ensure customer satisfaction by overseeing installation quality and addressing project details promptly.
Serve as the point of contact for installation-related concerns, resolving issues professionally and efficiently.

Continuous Improvement

Review and revise operational and work practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
Recommend and implement process improvements based on field observations and data.

Qualifications:

Previous experience managing construction or installation projects, preferably in the window or building materials industry.
Strong knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and installation methods.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage subcontractors and coordinate with internal teams.
Proficiency with project management software and reporting tools (preferred).
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
