Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts starting at 6:45 AM or 6:45 PM

• Maintain 1:2 patient ratio in a 10-bed ICU unit

• 2 years of ICU specialty experience required

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

• Must live within 75-mile radius of facility

• Every other weekend requirement

• Rotate holidays with permanent staff

• Dress code:
Hunter green pants, white tops, white jackets, or solid white

• Work with Meditech EMR system

• Monitor and read telemetry using Phillips monitors

• Work with Draeger ventilators

• Charge nurse responsibilities include taking patients

• 3-shift floor-specific orientation provided

• No floating required outside unit, but can float to ER if qualified and credentialed

• Care for lower acuity ICU patients including pneumonia, CHF, sepsis cases

• Stepdown level of acuity, typically less than 5 patients

• Occasional pediatric surgical cases

• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks

Facility:

This medical center operates a 10-bed ICU unit that provides intermediate level critical care services. The facility maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy support and has an in-house hospitalist covering the entire facility. During weekdays, an IV team is available for difficult access procedures and midlines. The organization uses modern equipment including Phillips telemetry monitors and Draeger ventilators, with pharmacy support available during the day and Omnicell access for after-hours needs.

Adex Job . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
