You will work closely with engineering and production teams to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, applying your welding skills to create strong, accurate joints.
Safety and efficiency will be paramount as you operate welding equipment and overhead cranes in a controlled environment. Ultimately, your craftsmanship and attention to detail will support the manufacturing process from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality metal products.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in Arc Welding, TIG Welding, MIG Welding, and Flux Core welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with operating overhead cranes and other material handling equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and industry welding standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from a recognized welding program or institution (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).
- Experience working with stainless steel and other specialized metals.
- Knowledge of brazing techniques and metal finishing processes.
- Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various welding techniques including Arc, TIG, MIG, Flux Core, and Brazing to join metal parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to understand project requirements and ensure accuracy.
- Operate overhead cranes and other material handling equipment safely to position heavy metal components for welding.
- Inspect welded joints for quality and compliance with industry standards, making adjustments or repairs as necessary.
