As a Welder in the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in fabricating and assembling metal components that meet precise specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will ensure the structural integrity and durability of products used across various applications, contributing directly to the company's production goals and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, applying your welding skills to create strong, accurate joints.

Safety and efficiency will be paramount as you operate welding equipment and overhead cranes in a controlled environment. Ultimately, your craftsmanship and attention to detail will support the manufacturing process from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality metal products.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in Arc Welding, TIG Welding, MIG Welding, and Flux Core welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Familiarity with operating overhead cranes and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and industry welding standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification from a recognized welding program or institution (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).
  • Experience working with stainless steel and other specialized metals.
  • Knowledge of brazing techniques and metal finishing processes.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various welding techniques including Arc, TIG, MIG, Flux Core, and Brazing to join metal parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to understand project requirements and ensure accuracy.
  • Operate overhead cranes and other material handling equipment safely to position heavy metal components for welding.
  • Inspect welded joints for quality and compliance with industry standards, making adjustments or repairs as necessary.
  • Collaborate with fabrication and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and improve welding processes and product designs.

Skills:

The required welding skills such as Arc, TIG, MIG, and Flux Core are applied daily to join metal components with precision and strength, ensuring product durability. Reading blueprints and technical drawings is essential for understanding project specifications and executing welds that meet design requirements. Operating overhead cranes safely allows for efficient handling and positioning of heavy materials, reducing risk and improving workflow.

Metal fabrication knowledge supports the ability to prepare materials and perform finishing tasks that enhance product quality. Preferred skills like brazing and experience with stainless steel expand the range of materials and techniques you can confidently work with, increasing versatility and value to the manufacturing team.
