Position: Spring 2026 New Graduate RN Phoebe Sumter

Provide professional nursing care for patient(s) and respective family according to established standards and practices.

Qualifications
  • 2 year / Associate Degree in Nursing from a state accredited school (Required)
  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Work Experience
  • 1+ years Nursing Experience (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license
Essential Functions
  • Maintain and apply nursing practice standards: provide professional care, collect and analyze data, develop individualized care plans, implement and evaluate outcomes.
  • Demonstrate professional performance: assist patients and visitors, enhance quality of nursing practice, maintain confidentiality, collaborate with peers, provide leadership in practice.
  • Lead and coordinate care: direct inter‑professional collaboration, foster teamwork, promote shared decision‑making, define vision and progress measures, support professional organizations.
  • Plan and implement care: develop diagnosis‑based, patient‑centered plans; ensure continuity; implement safely; document changes; consult and refer; utilize community resources.
  • Apply care processes: treat patients with compassion, base decisions on care plans, monitor responses, establish rapport, adapt communication, provide interventions, respect confidentiality, support social, spiritual, and cultural needs, handle difficult situations.
  • Document accurately: submit required information promptly, use correct terminology, follow style and format guidelines, tailor documentation for users.
  • Adhere to Nursing ANA Code of Ethics: provide optimal care, practice compassion, advocate for patients and community, ensure safety, promote shared decision‑making, collaborate with health professionals.
  • Drive quality improvement: use data to improve nursing practice, apply evidence‑based knowledge, foster creativity, participate in quality activities.
Additional Duties
  • Adhere to hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
  • Perform all job responsibilities aligned with the organization’s core values, mission and vision.
  • Carry out other duties as required and complete all job functions per departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge in the field through self‑education and ongoing educational programs.
  • Attend staff meetings, complete mandatory in‑services and competency evaluations on time.
  • Demonstrate competency in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
  • For non‑clinical areas, demonstrate customer‑service skills and use appropriate protective equipment.
