Store Sales Associate

Overview

Citi Trends is looking for a dedicated Store Sales Associate to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. We’re growing, so if you’ve ever wanted a chance to lead the way, this is it.

• Processing freight
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns
• Balancing cash register according to company policy
• Calling out prices for customers when ringing transactions
• Bags merchandise efficiently at checkout
• Handling cash, checks, and credit cards correctly and per company policy
• Obtaining management approval when needed for returns, voids, and checks
• Maintaining and performing housekeeping duties as assigned
• Providing proper customer service, including greeting customers, adhering to fitting room policies, ringing customers in promptly, and inviting them to return
• Following all safety procedures
• Maintaining a professional, neat appearance and wearing a name tag
• Assisting management with merchandising on the sales floor according to stock levels
• Assisting management with tasks requested per company policy
• Explaining exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Assisting Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty, and following all current operational policies

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages)
