Job Summary Provide security for patients, employees, and visitors; protect hospital buildings, assets, and premises as assigned.## Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED (Required)## Work Experience
* 2 - 3 years healthcare security and/or Law Enforcement field with guard service or military police (Preferred)## Licenses and Certifications
* Not Applicable - No Certification and Licensure Requirements Required or Preferred## Essential Functions### SECURITY DUTIES
* Provide safety and security for facility.
* Patrols daily, by vehicle and on foot, all hospital buildings on campus grounds to detect, deter, or address.
* Responds immediately to authorized requests for access to internal offices.
* Maintains safety and security of warehouse through door checks and random vehicle and walking patrols.
* Patrols all parking lots and assists visitors; escorts, when required, by vehicle or on foot patrol.
* Keeps all Emergency Center hallways and ambulance ramp clear.
* Inspects all access points to hospital authority building and internal offices, securing same when not occupied, following department policy and procedure.### TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT USE
* Demonstrates technical skill in using equipment appropriate for role.
* Understands equipment operation.
* Maintains equipment in working order.
* Troubleshoots equipment problems.
* Uses technology to increase productivity.
* Adapts to new technology.## Additional Duties

* Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
* Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
* For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age-specific customer service skills.
* Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
