At Renewi, we are looking for a Category Manager Professional Services to take ownership of a broad and strategic spend portfolio covering Marketing, Communication, IT Services and HR-related services. In this role, you will lead a team of Category Buyers and play a key role in shaping how Renewi sources and partners for critical business services.
Your role:
As Category Manager Professional Services, you are responsible for defining and executing the category strategy across multiple indirect spend areas. You will drive value creation through strategic sourcing, supplier management, demand management and stakeholder alignment across the organisation.
You will lead a team of 2 Category Buyers and work closely with senior stakeholders across HR, IT, Marketing, Communications and the broader business. Together, you ensure that Professional Services spend is optimised, future-proof and aligned with Renewi’s transformation agenda.
You report to the Group Procurement Director and are part of the Procurement Leadership Team.
What will you do?
- Define and execute the category strategy for Professional Services (Marketing, Communication, IT Services and HR services).
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Category Buyers.
- Drive complex sourcing initiatives and strategic supplier negotiations.
- Build and manage long-term partnerships with key service providers.
- Challenge and align senior stakeholders on demand, sourcing approach and value creation opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, standardisation and value delivery across all Professional Services categories.
- Drive synergy between categories and enable cross-functional procurement strategies.
- Ensure strong governance, compliance and supplier performance management.
- Contribute to transformation initiatives across the business by shaping how services are sourced and consumed.
- Translate business needs into category strategies that support growth, efficiency and organisational change.

You bring:
- Proven experience in category management or strategic procurement leadership roles.
- Experience in indirect spend categories such as Professional Services, Marketing, HR services, IT services or consultancy.
- Leadership experience, including coaching or managing procurement professionals.
- Experience in complex, matrixed or international organisations.
- Strong negotiation, influencing and commercial capabilities.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Fluency in English;
Dutch and/or French is an advantage.
