Instructional Designer

We are looking for an Instructional Designer to join our inclusive and collaborative learning and development team. In this role, you will transform business needs into effective learning solutions by partnering closely with subject matter experts, team members across the organization, facilitators, and fellow designers. You will help create learning experiences that meet regulatory obligations and empower people to develop new skills and feel confident in their work.

You will be based at the European headquarters in Amersfoort (NL) and report to the Associate Manager Applied Learning.

Your work will directly support our mission to provide high-quality, user-friendly learning programs for team members across the company. You will help ensure that learning solutions are well designed, thoughtfully communicated, and aligned with business needs.

• Design and develop learning content in a variety of formats including eLearning, micro learning, gamification, virtual and instructor led training
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate requests into clear learning objectives and effective learning outcomes
• Define assessment approaches that measure learning outcomes across different modalities
• Create visual communication strategies that enhance understanding and engagement
• Act as a project contributor or project manager, helping clarify or manage scope, timelines, and deliverables
• Provide proactive insights and suggestions to improve learning materials, processes, and team practices

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Proven experience in instructional design within a corporate context
• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written
• Ability to use instructional design tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise, Adobe Suite, etc.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and cross functional teams and offer consultancy on learning solutions
• Experience designing learning for multiple modalities, such as eLearning, virtual training, and instructor led programs
• An interest in creativity, continuous learning, and exploring new ways of presenting information
