Wind Turbine Technician

Overview

Service Technician to maintain onshore wind turbines (Gamesa and Nordex). Role focuses on troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs to keep turbines spinning with minimal downtime. Communicates with customers and internal teams to provide clear updates and ensure safety and reliability.

• Perform routine inspections of onshore wind turbines and identify simple fixes or deeper mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical issues.
• Troubleshoot problems, implement fixes, and replace parts as needed to restore operation.
• Log all activities accurately to maintain records of maintenance and repairs.
• Respond to urgent repair needs and coordinate parts replacement and on-site repairs when required.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and control room teams to monitor and improve turbine performance across projects.
• Maintain open communication with customers on-site, providing timely updates on status and expected timelines.
• Adhere to safety protocols and perform work with a focus on preventing hazards and ensuring all components are properly installed.

• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in wind turbines.
• Ability to work at heights and in all weather conditions.
• Experience in maintenance and repair, especially in renewable energy, is advantageous.
• Proficiency with technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and appropriate equipment.
• Solid safety mindset and commitment to safe work practices.
