Friesland Campina’s Global Supply Chain Projects team is looking for a Technical Project Manager/Engineering Lead (all‑genders) to deliver major CAPEX investments across our production sites in the Netherlands and Belgium.
In this role, you lead capital projects ranging from €1–10M from concept to operational handover, or act as Engineering Lead on larger transformation projects ranging from €10‑100M. You combine strong technical expertise with project leadership and work closely with stakeholders across operations, engineering and external contractors.
Responsibilities
Own the full project scope: business case, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning
Lead daily project controls, risk management, and multidisciplinary teams
Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery
Serve as engineering lead for larger projects and take responsibility for specific technical work packages under a Senior Project Manager
Challenge design choices, coordinate contractors, and ensure compliance with safety & technical standards
Work closely with stakeholders across Operations, R&D, QA/SHE, Maintenance and Commercial teams
Coach colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement of our project delivery processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or packaging/process technology
5+ years of experience in CAPEX projects (experience in food, pharma, or process industry is a plus)
Solid technical foundation in packaging and/or process equipment, piping, instrumentation and construction
Track record in delivering projects on time, within budget, and with a strong focus on safety & quality
Experience with leading multidisciplinary teams and working on site during construction/commissioning
Familiarity with gate-based project methodologies ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). PPM, Principal Toolbox)
Fluent in Dutch and English
Willingness to travel within NL/BE
