T- Engineer

High Voltage Engineering Europa B.V. is a high-tech company specialized in the development and manufacturing of custom-build linear DC particle accelerators for scientific and industrial applications. We are established in Amersfoort since 1959 and we have approximately 70 employees.

We are looking to enhance our Test & Installation department with an enthusiastic

• You will be responsible for the in-house test and validation of particle accelerators, which are built to customer's specifications
• You will be responsible for the installation and commissioning at the customer's site, which requires willingness to travel up to 50% of the time divided in periods of 4-weeks, interrupted by one week at the home base
• Your work entails activities in the field of mechanics, electronics and software

• Bachelor degree in electrical / mechanical engineering or comparable education

• A creative engineer with hands‑on mentality and analytical skills who likes to travel (and the home front can / will support this) with regular stays abroad
• Excellent people skills with customers and colleagues of diverse cultural background
• Strong personality that keeps track and is capable to deal with uncertainties and constraints
• Decisive, responsible and pro‑active attitude
• Thinking in solutions and not in problems

• Experience with particle accelerators or industrial/scientific equipment
• Knowledge of software testing and validation
• Written and spoken command of English
• Familiar with technical reporting
• Experience with the V-model development proces is an advantage
