Job Description & How to Apply Below
We are a unified company formed from the merger of four leading geo-information and data technology companies (eLEAF, NEO, Sensar and 52impact). By joining forces, we address societal challenges around climate change, water, agriculture and infrastructure. Our goal is to build a future where advanced data technology seamlessly supports solutions for a thriving planet.
As a trusted partner in our clients' sustainability journey, we create an inclusive and purposeful working environment where our teams are encouraged to work with curiosity, integrity and impact. Together, we build a better world as well as a better company.
We are a growing company driven by innovation and a passion to create a better future. With short lines of communication and a collaborative culture, we scale quickly. We want to be closer to our customers, understand their needs better and respond proactively to what they need. You will help us take that next step!
About the Role  As a member of a diverse team of developers, you will realize projects and build services that always involve geo-information and Earth observation data. We make our unique datasets available via various APIs; and we have various other channels to unlock insights for our diverse range of clients. All these have some things in common:
The datasets are massive, they can be placed somewhere on a map; and they need to reach the client in a fast, secure and reliable way!
In this role you will be involved in a large variety of projects across the entire organisation, anything involving databases, APIs and (vector) data! This is the job for you if you enjoy tackling a complex problem - independently and as part of a team. You will be involved in the further growth of our company and have plenty of room to take initiative.

Do you want to help present new insights from a large amount of varied Earth observation data? Join us and leave your mark!
What you will do  You will make contributions across our codebase, working on a diverse range of projects and automating the production of the data served through our API. Additionally you will manage, update and develop our API, serving hundreds of thousands of requests as efficiently as possible, and integrating with our platform and other R&D efforts (such as our geo-enabled agent).
Finally, you will share your unique knowledge with the team, striving together to serve our clients with unique insights based on our large store of geo-data.
Who we are looking for  We are looking for people with the following knowledge and experience:
4+ years of experience in software development
Good working knowledge with various geospatial data formats

Experience with fastAPI

Experience with databases (e.g. Postgre

SQL)
Experience working in the cloud (AWS cognito, S3, ECS, etc.)

Experience with CI/CD, devops, git
OGC standards & GDAL
Furthermore, you speak fluently English and speaking Dutch is a pré. You communicate smoothly with colleagues and can work well in a team as autonomously.
A plus (but not required) if you also have experience with:
Parquet
Remote sensing and earth observation data (aerial and satellite imagery)
What we offer   A versatile position in a growing, sustainable company for  32 to 40 hours per week
Hybrid working , including two days a week in the office
An office  near the railway station  and a short walk from the bustling centre of  Amersfoort
A dynamic team of colleagues who are passionate about making the world  better and safer
An informal working environment with plenty of scope for  initiative and personal development
