Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist; S&OP

We are seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist to join our client’s team. This role focuses on supporting the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing financial insights and scenario analysis. The ideal candidate will be a proactive business partner, helping to optimize inventory, balance costs, and enhance profit margins, all while ensuring excellent service levels.

• Support scenario planning and decision-making within the S&OP process, considering go-to-market strategies and manufacturing priorities.
• Provide end-to-end visibility of decisions made during the S&OP cycle, analyzing their impact on ----profitability, capacity, inventory, and cash flow.
• Transition the S&OP process from volume-based to value-based insights; supply the financial teams with relevant data for accurate forecasting.
• Lead automation initiatives by integrating financial and planning data to improve efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and improve existing processes.
• Drive capacity utilization by sharing valuable financial insights during S&OP meetings.
• Prepare monthly reports and consolidate data for global S&OP review sessions.
• Act as a backup for the second S&OP controller when needed.
• Challenge and support the planning team to optimize operations.
• Develop and oversee methodologies for translating raw milk sales volumes into accurate financial forecasts.
• Monitor and reconcile supply volumes in planning meetings, ensuring consistency across planning hubs.
• Lead the rollout of production volume upload processes for financial forecasting, maintaining smooth monthly operations.

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Commercial Finance or Supply Chain Finance, ideally within FMCG, food, or dairy industries.
• Extensive experience with S&OP processes and supply chain analytics.
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in scenario modeling and assessing financial impacts of supply chain decisions.
• Proficiency in stakeholder management within a matrix organization.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP, HFM, Power BI, Adaptive, or similar systems is preferred.
• Fluency in English;
  Dutch language skills are a plus.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid setting, combining 2 days onsite at the Amersfoort office and 3 days remote.
