Our Teaching Assistants are primarily based within one year group but may at times support across different classes and year groups, allowing us to draw on and make best use of their areas of strength and expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
- Ensuring pupils' safety and adhering to safeguarding procedures
- Assisting with the delivery of the planned curriculum
- Using resources effectively to enhance learning
- Delivering support in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, including leading interventions
- Supervising pupils at break and lunchtime (playground or dining hall)
- Helping to create a positive, welcoming classroom environment that promotes independence
- Working closely with the class teacher to plan and address any concerns
- Monitoring and tracking pupil progress in line with school procedures
- Undertaking additional duties as directed by the Deputy Head Teacher, SENDCo, or Head Teacher within the scope of the role
- Using technology (e.g. computers and iPads) to support administration, training, and learning activities
- Be committed to delivering high-quality, inclusive education
- Have strong English and Maths skills
- Act as a positive and professional role model
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with pupils, staff, and external professionals
- Be enthusiastic, motivated, and committed

- Experience working with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

- Experience with children who have Speech, language and communication needs

We are seeking staff to work 30 hours per week, typically 6 hours per day, over 5 days each week, usually 8.30am to 3pm (includes a half‑hour unpaid lunch break). Contracts will be permanent, term time only (38 weeks per year plus 5 weeks paid holiday, taken during school holidays).
This role is paid on the Bucks Pay (Schools) pay scale at Range 2 between ISN 11 to 15, depending on experience.
