Graduate Teaching Assistant

September 2026 to July 2027

£100 per day

Good secondary school, Amersham, Buckinghamshire

• Supporting students in lessons across different subjects
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Helping students stay focused and engaged
• Supporting those with SEND, SEMH or additional needs
• Assisting with behaviour and wellbeing throughout the school day
• Delivering small group interventions where needed
• Working closely with teachers, pastoral and SEND teams
• Providing personal or intimate care if trained

You are clear, organised, and able to explain scientific ideas in a way pupils can actually follow. You want practical secondary school experience, enjoy helping students improve in English, Science and Maths, and are keen to develop the classroom skills needed for a future in teaching.

• Degree - A 2:2 or above in English, Science or Maths or a related subject.
• Communication
  - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS
  - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children
  - Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Career Goals - A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.
