Location: Secondary school, Buckinghamshire

Academics Ltd are working with a 'Good' school in Amersham who are looking to appoint an English Teacher to join them from September 2026 teaching and delivering English. We are looking to appoint a fully qualified teacher (with QTS) or an English Specialist who is passionate about their subject and is a great practitioner with high expectations and good classroom management.

This is also a great opportunity for someone who is looking to go down the teaching route.

The school are looking for a teacher who -

• Is passionate about their subject and is a great practitioner with high expectations and good classroom management
• Can plan, prepare and deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students of all abilities
• Is interested in the science of learning and is committed to continuous improvement
• Can demonstrate excellent organisational and inter-personal skills and the ability to contribute to the team, has clear vision, energy and commitment to all aspects of school life
• Has a desire and passion to make a real difference to the lives and life-chances of our students

English Teacher requirements -

• Degree in English or related field
• Relevant teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS
• Experience with online teaching platforms
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and teaching techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
