Support Worker – White Lion Road (Hightown)

We currently have an opportunity for a full time (37.5 hours per week) Support Worker to join our supported living service, White Lion Road, in Little Chalfont, Amersham, employed by Hightown. White Lion Road provides supported housing for six people with learning disabilities, and each resident has their own self‑contained flat with 24-hour support on site. There is a staff office which provides a communal meeting place with a dining table and cooking facilities.
The aim is to provide personalised one‑to‑one support to people living in their own homes to help them meet their full potential.
- Assess needs and develop personalised support plans.
- Promote independence through life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and budgeting.
- Provide personal care with sensitivity and respect.
- Follow and contribute to risk assessments and management plans.
- Induct and assist in the mentoring of new staff.
- Support aspirations and help individuals achieve their goals.
- Experience in the care or support sector, with a can‑do attitude and a genuine desire to help others thrive.
- Effective communication and ability to adapt to different needs and preferences.
- Flexibility and reliability, able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and person‑centred care.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work; willingness to do sleep‑ins (allowance £52.78 per sleep in).
- £25,857 per annum for a 37.5 hour a week contract.
- Generous annual leave allowance of 33 days per year, including statutory bank holidays, rising to 35 days with service.
