A day in the life of a Care Assistant

  • Companionship – Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
  • Personal care – Supporting with a wash bath or shower and assisting with dressing and oral care.
  • Medication – Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
  • Meals – Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Domestic tasks – Light cleaning tasks.
  • Mobility – Supporting the client to live independently with their mobility.
  • Social activities – Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
