This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with our production and engineering teams, using a range of precision measurement equipment and CMM to inspect components.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Inspector, you will:

* Carry out detailed inspections of precision-machined components to ensure they meet engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T requirements.

* Use a range of precision inspection equipment, including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges, ring gauges and other measuring instruments.

* Analyse measurement results and make informed decisions on product conformity and quality.

* Identify, segregate and report non-conforming products, ensuring issues are controlled and clearly communicated.

* Raise Non-Conformance Reports where required and support investigations into quality issues.

* Check that all measuring and inspection equipment is within calibration before use.

* Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation to support traceability, quality standards and audits.

* Work closely with production teams during machine setups, first-off inspections and process checks.

* Communicate quality concerns promptly to production, engineering and other relevant departments.

* Carry out goods-inwards inspections when required.

* Contribute to a strong quality-first culture, helping identify opportunities to improve processes and prevent recurring issues.

You will ideally have:

* Experience working as a Quality Inspector within a precision machining environment.

* The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

* Hands-on experience in programming and operating CMM.

* Strong practical knowledge of precision measurement equipment and inspection techniques.

* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to getting things right first time.

* Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Strong record-keeping and documentation abilities.
