Academic Advisor

We want an Academic Advisor whose Public Speaking is matched only by their curiosity, and Business Solutions Group in Cedar Rapids, IA is ready to feed both. Few Cedar Rapids employers pair $59,000 - $82,000 with this much general autonomy, and fewer still ask only 3 years to earn it.

• Make the collaborative call when the data points two different directions
• Close the loop on every Cedar Rapids request you touch
• Monitor work quality and flag issues before they escape
• Carry the Interpersonal Skills thread across three time zones and two tools
• Turn ambiguous Initiative requests into shipped, measurable outcomes
• Keep mid-level expectations grounded in what the remote role can deliver
• Read a Written Communication system you didn't build and improve it anyway

• 5 years of learning when to trust the process and when to break it
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Comfort being measured against a clear mid-level bar
• A bias toward asking the dumb question before the expensive mistake
• Roughly 4+ years operating in a similar Academic Advisor position

There's a reason general leaders keep calling Business Solutions Group: this quality-obsessed Cedar Rapids, IA team simply refuses to ship anything mediocre. Trust, transparency, and steady momentum are the three things we protect above all else.

Land here and your reward starts at $59,000 - $82,000, then climbs alongside the mentorship, flexible hours, and benefits we keep stacking on top.
