Project Managers provide outstanding independent project management skills from project administration to scheduling and cost control to estimating and closeout of job.
- Review estimates and bids for proper scope coverage and efficient production.
- Coordinates with the logistics team and use logistics software, XBE, to plan daily work.
- Assist in managing project schedule throughout course of design and/or construction process through completion.
- Ability to participate in preconstruction services, including estimating.
- Schedule sub-contractors and work with Prime.
- Monitor the progress of the construction activities with periodic on-site inspections, track potential disputes and claims, procure punch list for the project, perform inspections, and resolve any deficiencies.
- Collaborate with other Project Manager(s) to find alternative solutions.
- Collaborate and monitor Superintendent(s) performance on contracts and/or work orders.
- Collaboration of project safety plan with Superintendent(s).
- Ability to communicate effectively with management staff, company project staff, vendors, contractors, and owners on any issues/problems related to the project.
- Skills in listening, problem solving, and running effective meetings with the ability to be open-minded.
- Act as a liaison between the company and external contacts, municipalities, etc.

Education and/or Experience- BS in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
- Must be able to read and understand paving design and specifications.
- Ability to handle emergency situations with a calm attitude.
- Practical knowledge of OSHA laws, regulations, and policies.
- Good computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good driving record.
- Ability to assist in other work-related areas as necessary.
- Willingness to travel around the state of Iowa as needed, as well as work approximately 50 hours per week.
