. This position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.
- As a Server Systems Administrator within Epic's Hosting entity, keep systems up and running in optimal condition so that healthcare organizations can provide amazing care with the help of our software.
- Develop tools to support operating systems, troubleshoot and debug code, and monitor overall system health for some of the largest healthcare organizations in the industry.
- Create disaster and contingency plans, develop and share expert knowledge in systems and database administration, coordinate with third party hardware vendors, and work with systems on a scale pushing the edge of technology.
- Collaborate with developers, technical support, software testers, and implementation specialists across the company; opportunities to grow in at least one area (scripting, documentation, development, or technical support).
- Build valuable industry-wide skills in Information Technology doing high-stakes, critical work in healthcare IT.
This role is based in Madison, WI. Relocation to the Madison area is reimbursed.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, MIS, or other hard science preferred
- A history of academic and professional success
- Knowledge of Linux or Windows system administration, virtualization, scripting, automation, or Dev Ops processes is a plus, but not necessary
- Willingness to travel 1-2 weeks per year
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
- Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
- COVID-19 vaccination
- As a member of the Hosting team at Epic you'll be responsible for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting.
- Follow policies and procedures and escalate when policies or procedures are not followed.
- Escalate potential security incidents and provide relevant information.
- Meet all security responsibilities defined in policies and procedures.
