Job Title:
Safety Coordinator
Client:
Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Location:
Waterloo, IA 50704
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Description:
- Support workplace safety and injury prevention.
- Identify and correct safety hazards.
- Conduct safety and compliance audits.
- Assist with safety programs and process improvements.
- Analyze EHS metrics and recommend improvements.
- Review new equipment and processes for safety compliance.
- Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Perform ergonomic assessments and risk evaluations.
- Conduct safety and ergonomic training sessions.
- Document safety findings and improvement plans.
- Work with safety equipment suppliers.
- Maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree or certificate in Safety, Ergonomics, or related field.
- Engineering or technical education will be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to conduct audits and risk assessments.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EHS or ergonomics.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
- Experience with incident investigations.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments.
- Experience delivering safety training.
